Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger has been accused of sexual assault by a young woman in Georgia, TMZ has learned.
The alleged incident occurred early this morning at Capital City -- a club in Milledgeville, Georgia.
According to law enforcement sources, the alleged victim -- who has already been interviewed by police -- was treated at a local hospital and released.
We're told in addition to the alleged victim, witnesses are being interviewed -- and one law enforcement source says they will attempt to interview Roethlisberger.
In addition to the Milledgeville Police Dept, we've learned the Georgia Bureau of Investigations is also investigating.
As we previously reported, Roethlisberger is being sued by a Reno woman, Andrea McNulty, who claims the QB sexually assaulted her in 2008.
UPDATE: We're told Ben Roethlisberger has already been interviewed by police. We're also told no formal charges have been filed at this point.
UPDATE 3:30 PM EST: A rep from the Steelers tells TMZ, "We are gathering information on this incident - until then we have no further comment."
Story developing ...

Brett Favre is 40 years old -- but he definitely ain't over the Hill.

The Minnesota Vikings quarterback and his wife were on a double date last night with country music power couple Tim McGraw and Faith Hill at Mastros -- where Brett's lips were still sealed on his future in football.

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo is risking serious injury -- and possibly his $67 million contract -- and it's all for a secret, indoor passion. Dude plays in an adult recreational soccer league.

TMZ has confirmed that Romo participates in an indoor 6-on-6 league in Texas -- a league that even requires players to sign an injury waiver ... even though slide tackling and the use of cleats are strictly forbidden.
We obtained footage from Tony's most recent game -- and dude doesn't look too bad ... in fact, he even scored a goal.
As far as the Cowboys are concerned -- they're not. A rep for the team tells us, "He's been playing in off-season basketball and soccer leagues in the area since he became an NFL player, so it must not be something that is in his contract."
No word if Jessica Simpson is allowed to attend games.

Admiral Ackbar -- the Supreme Commander of the Rebel Alliance fleet -- is one step closer to becoming the new on-field mascot for the University of Mississippi.

Ole Miss is in the middle of a movement to replace their old mascot -- Colonel Reb -- after the school decided they wanted to update their image.
Tuesday, the students voted in favor of crowning a new mascot to represent Rebel Nation ... and the favorite so far is none other than the most famous Mon Calamari in the entire universe.
Several pro-Ackbar websites have recently emerged -- making the Admiral the heavy favorite. The University tells us the decision on the mascot is entirely in the hands of the student mascot committee. The University will hold a vote in the near future -- we'll keep you updated.
May The Force be with you.

The New Orleans Saints' good luck charm has arrived -- Kim Kardashian's ass has touched down in Miami.

After partying with his teammates last night, Reggie Bush was joined by his GF this afternoon in preparation for Super Bowl Sunday.
As for the Indianapolis Colts' good luck charm -- it's attached to Peyton Manning's right shoulder.

NFL star Steven Jackson is denying the allegations made by his ex-girlfriend that he beat her back in 2009 while she was 9 months pregnant with their son.
The St. Louis Rams running back just released a statement to TMZ saying, "It's disheartening that I have to address any alleged allegations 10 months later, but I have read the accusations made by Supriya Harris, and they are untrue."
Jackson continued, "The accusations are especially hurtful because those who truly know me know that those actions would be out of character for me."
Jackson acknowledged that Harris is the mother of his son, and described the boy as "a son that I love and that I willingly support emotionally and financially."
He concluded, "I will address this matter thoroughly through the appropriate avenues, but not through the media."
UPDATE: Harris just released a statement to BlackSportsOnline saying, "Domestic violence is never acceptable and I stood up, against all odds and spoke up. I would not wish this on my worst enemy, so you can say 'I'm a woman scorned' but I left Steven because if his abusive nature and the truth cannot be denied."
Harris claims she didn't file the statement for financial gain saying, "I simply gave my statement to police. There is no monetary gain in that action.
She added, "I hope that Steven addresses this issue and gets the necessary help so that our son doesn't adopt this behavioral problem. Violence against women is never ok and to have it happen, at that time, right before I was due to give birth was very disturbing for me."

NY Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez might have to get an extra ticket to the AFC Championship game this weekend -- TMZ has learned his fire captain father will not be deployed to Haiti to aid in relief efforts.

Mark's father, Nick, runs a fire department in Irvine, California that happens to be one of 28 urban search and rescue teams in the U.S -- and last week the guys were told to prepare in case their services were needed in Haiti.
TMZ has learned an 80 member group composed of rescue personnel from Orange County was mobilized and sent to March Air Force Base over the weekend -- but Nick was not selected to travel with that group.
Eventually, the 80-member task force was demobilized before they were shipped out to Haiti.
Now, Nick claims he's going to Indianapolis to watch his son attack the Colts -- but reminded us that his fire team is always preparing for "the opportunity to use our expertise."

Larry Fitzgerald of Arizona Cardinals fame is apparently a wide receiver off the field as well -- receiving traffic ticket after traffic ticket for offenses he didn't commit.

Police cameras near Scottsdale captured drivers speeding while behind the wheel of Fitzgerald's SUV. We're pretty sure cops can't place Larry behind the wheel in 5 of the 6 captures -- because 5 of the photos clearly show drivers who are not black.
It's unclear if Larry was driving the Cadillac Escalade on 11-06-09.
Tickets customarily go to the registered owner of the vehicle, who can then fight it in court. We're thinkin' Larry has a pretty good shot in at least 5 of the cases.
No comment from Larry's camp on whether he'll duke it out in court.
UPDATE: TMZ spoke with Larry's dad who told us, "Larry is handling this on his own."

Lane Kiffin isn't the only one gettin' out of Knoxville -- TMZ has learned the University of Tennessee has already lost at least one star recruit in the wake of their coach's decision to head for USC.

TMZ spoke to Kenbrell Thompkins -- a star wide receiver -- who told us it took about an hour for him to decide he would not be attending the first day of classes at UT today because of Kiffin's decision.
Thompkins told us, "I plan on departing from Tennessee and heading elsewhere. Lane Kiffin was a big part of me choosing UT, but with his departure I'm pretty sure I'll be heading elsewhere. I'm not sure at this moment what my other top choices are."
But there is some good news for the Vols -- not everyone is looking to scram. Marques Pair -- a highly recruited offensive lineman -- has blogged that he's not leaving UT "no matter wat."

Karl Rove -- Geroge W. Bush's Senior Advisor -- has been credited as "the architect" behind Bush's Presidential wins -- so it's too bad he wasn't making the game plans for his alma mater's team, the Texas Longhorns, at last night's BCS title game.

Having QB Colt McCoy would've helped too ...
